Supplier Information

Rainpower works with suppliers that adhere to our policies for quality, environment and safety.

Rainpower's supplier selection procedure includes:

• A set of requirements that supplier needs to fulfill
• Supplier's self-assessment
• On site visit by Rainpower when necessary
• Rainpower's assessment and selection of supplier

Supplier Requirements

Delivery capabilities: These requirements comprise the technical, organizational and financial capabilities the supplier need to have in order to complete a Rainpower delivery, and will vary from one supplier to another.   

Quality requirements: Suppliers must have certified and quality systems as required by Rainpower; Rainpower shall be given a copy of the quality system's documentation. Suppliers must also have in place a system for continuous quality improvement. Rainpower shall have the right to audit supplier's quality system.  

Environment, health and safety (EHS) requirements

Social Responsibility requirements: Rainpower's principles for social responsibility apply to its suppliers.  

Business ethics requirements: Rainpower's principles for business ethics apply to its suppliers. In particular, the supplier will protect all confidential information provided by Rainpower and its partners.   

Scope of Requirements: Rainpower's supplier requirements apply to their direct suppliers as well.  

All suppliers have to be qualified in advance, and this process  is managed by our central procurement organization at Kjeller, Norway. 

We also have an organization at our office in Hangzhou which actively develops and follows up suppliers in accordance with our guidelines.
