Rainpower is a Norwegian industrial group supplying turbines, generators, control and governing equipment for hydropower. The group carries forward 150 years of industrial development started by Kværer; our operations is international - we have our own workshop in Norway, and develop and engineer in Norway and China.

Rainpower established in Switzerland
On January 16 2012, Rainpower Switerland AG was incorporated in Rheinfelden, canton of Aargau, Switzerland.
Rainpower has experienced a significant success in Switzerland; our customers appreciate our state of the art technology. Norway, like Switzerland, is a mountainous country, and our design is a perfect fit for for the natural conditions of Switzerland.
Establishment in Switzerland reflects our wish to stay close to our customers, and our office in Baden will also service neighbouring countries.
New hydropower projects in the region, and the large installed base of hydropower should auger well for the future of our Swiss presence.
Switzerland highly skilled people, with a stronge sense of quality, makes the country perfect for establishing operations of a technically demanding industry.
Rainpower´s CEO, Svein Ole Strømmen, is the Chairman of the Board of the new company, and Jorge Preiswerk Mota Veiga is the Managing Director.
