Rainpower is a Norwegian industrial group that supplies turbines, control- and governing equipment for hydropower generation. The Group continues 150 years of industrial development which was initiated by Kværner; our business is international, and we have own manufacturing in Norway, development and engineering in Norway and China.

Mr. Shen Jian is the Mayor for 8 million inhabitants in Hangzhou; also a city where several tens of hydropower equipment suppliers are located.
Rainpower has signed a contract for the Vizara HEPP project with Yilmaz Ulusoy Holding, a family owned conglomerate in Turkey.
21. juni avsa den oppnevnte voldgiftsretten en dom hvor Rainpower ble gitt medhold i sakens hovedtema, nemlig at Rainpower Storm-teknologien for vannturbiner kan selges fritt i markedet. Retten slår fast at Rainpowers Storm-teknologi er utviklet uavhengig av lisensavtalen mellom Rainpower og GE. Det er gledelig for Rainpower å konstantere at vår enorme innsats for teknologiutvikling de siste årene nå også blir bekreftet som Rainpowers egen teknologi gjennom en bindene rettsavgjørelse.
Rainpower ASA has signed a contract with the Swiss hydropower company Officine Idroelettriche della Maggia SA, OFIMA for the delivery of equipment to the Robiei power plant. The scope of supply includes both pump turbines and a Francis turbine with auxiliary equipment. The value of Rainpower’s contract is NOK 140 million.
